My new fall do!

Mom and I just did some box jobs on our hair for the fall, and mine is DARK! I barely know myself in the mirror. I can only imagine what my little ones in my preschool class will think in the morning. I LOVE IT, though! I hope the feeling is mutual with the man when he gets in from work!
Anyways, so I will try to get some pictures up soon!
Hey and thanks sis and brother in law for coming in this weekend and helping a sista and brotha out! I love you guys!

the saga continues...

We are yet to be done with the house. And, we realized last night that more has been stolen from there. We are not living in the house yet, but we have moved some of our stuff over there. Nothing too, too major is gone... like my china hutch or anything. Just a bunch of Rdub's tools, our weedeater, a decent sized air compressor, a bicycle, and few other odds and ends. I just cannot believe that there are people out there that will walk up to a house that they do not live in, and take things. No one has entered the house. This was all in the garage. Nice, huh!?! So needless to say, my husband is ready to whoop some hiney. But other than that, all is good in the hood so far.
We still have a long way to go, but are closer than we were almost a month ago. It takes a while on this stuff when you are the laborers also chasing boys.
I hope this blog finds you all good.

Sister came through... as always!!!

I love my sister. I have THE BEST sister in the world! She showed up on saturday just to help me! We got so much done, and worked on the house. I love how my boys, even my husband, adore my sister. She is the bombdiggity no doubt!
Thank you, sister, for coming to the rescue. I love you, and owe you big time!
love,

The House

We spent yesterday afternoon at the house, and today the electricity gets turned on! WOOODEEEWOODEEHOO!
I am excited over electricity! LOL! I know! But this means that I will be able to Rainbow! Get it smelling better! Really get to clean! R can fix the A/C unit! We can air up the John Deere with the air compressor! And, we can dance to music all at the same time as painting, painting, painting!!!
My sweet sister and brother in law are going to BRING us some new cabinets to put in the kitchen so we are going to demolish the delapidated cabinets that are there, and we are going to switch the washer and dryer hookup from in the middle of the kitchen to out in the garage! HUGE! So our dirty underwear are not the first things you see when you walk in! LOL!
We are looking for a used stove/stovetop for the kitchen as it does not have one. It is ready for gas or electric so if anyone has one that would be great. I would also take a used dishwasher if anyone wants to get rid of one. So please keep us in mind.
Okay so now I am off to take a shower so we can all go to preschool this morning!
Love you all! Have a fabulously blessed day!
Oh, and sister please be careful driving in with those cabinets! LOL! Love you!

Exhausted!!!

Boy, am I worn out! I went and painted, and cleaned a little on the house yesterday. Today I feel like I have literally been whooped by a big, burly man!!! I am so tired, and my boys already took naps at school and daycare so they are ready to party. This mom thing is extra hard when you just want to drop, and they are waiting for you to pass out any minute so that they can go tag team on your head. (And believe me, they do do that! ugh!)
Anyways, so we have had a great day, and we are now waiting for Dub to get home so that we can go get some more work done on the rent house.
I hope everyone is fabulous and has had a great day!

Paris, Texas

Well, here we are in my home town, and finally seeing the end of the tunnel. I think. It has been a long tunnel, but the end is coming I do believe.
We will be steadily working in the new abode all next week. I am so ready to have a place for just the Chisum clan once again. The house in Amarillo is still on the market, and we are praying that just any day now someone will walk into that house and feel at home as we did. I did love that house, however I know from all of our moves that the family is the "home." A cardboard box truly could feel as a home as long as all that are in it are in love with each other. I just cannot wait to get the boys trampoline up, and the place cleaned and repainted. That will be wonderful to just have a place to call our own once again.
Our little guys have gone through a lot with this move, and I am so proud of them. When people say that kids are resilient they are not kidding. T and T are just as ready as Dub and I are to get somewhere and be still, but they also have done great in every situation.
I truly cannot believe we are back here though. I am constantly saying that to Dub. He loves it here! He got an offer to go to Atlanta next week to interview for another railroad, and he would rather not. I am like... hello!... continue our railroad retirement, but he is now ready to settle and sit still. I have to hand it to him, I think our lesson in pride over this summer has really sunk in more for him than it truly has for me.
So it looks like for now, and possibly forever Paris is our home town as a family now too.
I am still in shock!

This whole relocating thing!

Well, first and foremost. We are all fine and well at Brenda's place. Thank the Lord for the roof over our heads, and enjoying the little things that need to be done around here. At least I feel like I am helping out a little bit, and not hendering the entire existence here in gay Paris!

The man is working his behind off doing some day labor type construction work. I think he is THE hardest worker that I have ever met! This guy will do whatever it takes to provide for us and I am truly greatful. Oh... ok... now where was I. I normally can get off on a tangent about my wonderful husband.

I put in for a couple of jobs today. And, I have an interview on Thursday for a little preschool where the boys could attend for free if I teach there. Isn't it funny how life works. Our Father in Heaven must think it pretty funny that I am catching this little coincidence in my life. You see my mom worked at a preschool when we were all little, and stayed there teaching for 26 years. Well, so you see I am now feeling more and more like my mother. I have given her the hardest time for most of my existence, and I feel a lesson coming on. Anyways, so we will see if I take that one or if i can possible getting a teaching job in the area. No, I do not have my degree, however I am looking into my certification so that I can get a better paying job for this area.

We, as usual, have many irons in the fire, and are doing our best not to burn them at both ends. However, the man and I both are extremely exhausted, and are ready for this whole transition to be over.

I pray that all of you are doing well!
I am off to spend some tv time with the man!

I have been "tagged!"

Okay, SiSter!

I have been TaGgEd!!!

If you find yourself "tagged" like me, here are the rules you must follow.
The Meme Rules:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their 8 things) and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 8 people to get tagged & list their names.
5. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

HuH, Uh! I cannot believe I am doing this...

HaBiT #1 - I bite my fingernails. Horribly nasty, I know. I have tried and tried to break it, but still a nasty habit.

HaBiT #2 - I am totally non confrontational. SO Procrastination is a big problem when there is something that needs to really be taken care of or dealt with.

HaBiT #3 - I think this one goes way back to our disfunctional family. BUT, anytime me and the main man, my husband, have a slight tiff, I begin to think our marriage is doomed. I do this all the time, and he must really love me because I know the constant nag of "is this it!?!" really must get old.

HaBiT #4 - Similar to #3! I over exagerate EVERYTHING. Poor guy!

HaBiT #5 - I do not like, and often will not go to sleep until my hubby and I pray together. It is something we started early in our marriage, and it just makes me feel like all is right in the world.

HaBiT #6 - I like to eat my Twix candy bars in layers.

HaBiT #7 - hmmm. Oh, and I like to pick all the good stuff that falls off of the pizza and on to the box and eat it.

HaBiT #8 - I cannot leave my hair alone. If you follow pictures on this blog for long, you will notice that I have a thing with changing my haircolor, hairdo, hair length. All of it! (My sister forgot this one but she started this hair thing, and deals with it daily too! CRACK ME UP!)

YeA I fInIsHeD iT!!!!

I am WORN OUT!

We decided to take the move to East Texas. Right now we are working on getting this house ready to go on market. I have been painting nonstop since we pulled into town Monday at 3:30pm. The exterior is done. The ranch no longer has royal blue trim, it is now stylish. And the inside is just almost done! We will have it finished all on friday and outta here!!!LOL! If i had a camera that worked, i would get pictures up! But, since not for now...
We just want this one to sell quickly!!!
We have found 11 acres and a little farm house that we would like to purchase back east (lol) but will have to wait until this one is sold! SO everybody start praying!
So I am off to finish painting the trim, and finish up the master bath!

Oh and I miss my Tucker John! He is at his Aunt Mandy's for the week, and loving every minute of it. I love that we are going to be so so much closer that he can go see his Aunt Mandy and Uncle Jason, and Uncle Jason and Aunt Kristen, and Granmommy, Memee, Grandaddy, and GDaddy any time!!!

What a sweet life i live!
love you guys!

God bless my little Baby Kate!

For all of you who know me, know that I have been in love with a little Boston Terrier for the last 8 years. My friend Blake and I found her in a Lubbock pet store, as she was not only the runt of her litter but the only girl. She was whooping her brothers butts and taking names. I took her home, i took her to church, i took her to our Campus Crusade meetings at Tech.
About a week after i had her, she started having epileptic seizures. I thought I was going to lose her then, however, the vet told me that i could put her down, take her back to the pet store or keep her and she would have to be on meds for a while. Well, I kept her, how could i have not, and we loved each other intensely. She was always with me and loved to ride in my lap to and from Paris/Dallas and Lubbock. Actually everywhere we went, she was in my lap.
She slept with me for the most part of the last 8 years, moved with me and RW to Oklahoma, Ft Worth, California and back to Texas. She was precious to me. She would dance for treats, clean her paws before she fell asleep at night, and loved to rub her nose on the couch.
I love my Kate Bug!
Well, Kate went to be with our Lord yesterday. We are in Denton at my sisters, and had to come to Paris by Friday so that we could attend a funeral of a very dear family friend of ours. We had thought about bringing my little Kate with us, but knew we would be back to Amarillo shortly. Just a weekend trip, and we had left her many times before with Duke and Ginger, our other two pooches in the back yard. RW's brother had to come out to our house yesterday, and found Kate deceased in the back yard. He was going to bury her for us, and called to let us know.
I am in shock, and really sad. She was MY first doggie, and as much as I love Ginger and Duke, I think I am ready to be out of the dog business due to this loss.
If anyone of you or anyone you know would be interested in a Boston Terrier free to a loving home, Duke is a precious and beautiful Boston. He is just not very well potty trained, so he has been outside for the last year. However, he has a great disposition, and loves everybody especially kids & he is 6 years old.
Ginger is a mix breed of Catahoula and Blue Heeler. She is free to a good and loving home as well. She has not been fixed, and is about a year old.
Anyways, if anyone knows of anyone please let me know.
Please pray that our getting home and knowing that Kate is no longer there will not be as hard as i think it may be.
I love you guys. I am so thankful for the time i had with her sweet little personality.
May God Bless her little soul!

We love our land, but...

It is a booger and greatly exhausting to mow 3 acres of it. Even on my ole John Deere. So that is what is on the agenda for me with shuffling and checking on kiddos in between rows. Then errands, then lunch, then nap time, and then it is time to get the house straightened up to get ready for dinner and daddy coming home. Whew!!! I am already tired. I would love to go crawl back in right now, but that is simply out of the question. So I guess i need to be heating up the coffee pot, cause it is going to be a long day!
I pray that you guys all have a blessed and busy day as well!
love,
Amy

Good Morning

I was on here looking around at other blogs, and found a cool little additive at http://easy-hit-counters.com/. This way you can see just how many people take a look at your blogspot.
Today is Friday! Thank the Lord! You know He loves fridays too!
I am off to craft. I am in the middle of making soldered pendant beaded necklaces and bracelets. It is lots of fun, however soldering is not the easiest craft to pick up.
I need to get at least a few done this morning to go place in my booth at the local craft mall. Then, I need to reprice some items, and "redecorate" with the items that are still there. I really thought that this craft mall thing would be lots of fun. Which i guess in a sense it is pretty good preparation for when I choose to open the doors to my shop.
That is my personal goal for the end of this year, to have all ready to go to open up at least a website if not also a store front of my own by the first quarter of next year. We will see.
So, I better get working on my chunky jewelry for now. As soon as I can get my silly digital camera a going i will be putting pics on here to share with you of my lovey wrangler minis and my chunky cowgirl jewelry.
Until then...
love,
Amy

how cute is this blog site!?!

My sister is the best!
I want to know why we sit here though and write to ourselves? Is this like hidden therapy or something???
Anyways, we are already having a day at the Chisum household. So I am off to clean and relieve some tension.
I pray anyone who reads this is having a fabulous, tension free day!

I LOVE MY NEW BLOGSPOT!

My sister is too smart for the rest of us!!!
I love my new blogspot! You did a great job, Mandy! Now if i could just get my camera working we would really get it together!
I love you, and I really appreciate you working so hard on this!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
love,
me

I love my husband. I simply adore him, and all that he provides for our family. He asks that I keep the house clean, and make sure he has clean socks and underwear. How hard can that be!?!
I have just about accomplished keeping a schedule on the house cleaning and the laundry. However, my marriage has been consistently perplexing over the last month.
You see my husband and I have joined a church that WE BOTH LOVE. I say that in bold face because this is the first time that we have both greatly, greatly enjoyed a church and are walking in our faith together... at the same time, within our relationship. We have had a great time together all along, but where we were at in our christianity was a bit questionable. Well, now we have got all that together and are both loving every minute of our relationship with our Father.
HOWEVER, it never fails that we get through our "in the moment trial" and then here comes another one. We both know that it is obviously Satan himself trying to yank us backwards again. WHICH IS JUST NOT GOING TO HAPPEN SO HE NEEDS TO GO ABOUT HIS WAY FROM US!
But man alive! I have always thought that all of our moves across the country were what would bring us closer together, and as that has added it's fair share of strength to our relationship... we now know that getting through the devil's trickery that he plays on marriages when things are so good, and continuing to praise our Lord in Heaven for EVERYTHING that is insurpassable without Him will be challenging BUT forever worth it!
I am so in love with my husband. Satan can just move on over, because he can not have him or me or my kiddos. None of us are for bartering so he can just go on from here. I am tired of challenges and so ready to see the other side of marriage.

And, yes, July 27th is our fifth year wedding anniversary.

Stay at home mommy-hood

I do love being a stay at home mom. I had a month, really two, that i went back to work to a job that was a blessing. However, my sick little cowboys did not embrace the daycare experience so here we are again... at the "ranch" together... happily.
HOWEVER, as much as I adore my buckaroos, greatly appreciate the fact that I can stay home and raise them, and am so very thankful for my beautiful home....
I AM READY FOR A VACATION!!!
I need to get out of here, and take a break. It really would do all of us some good.

I will take my husband with me, because i have been blessed with him as my bestfriend. And, honestly, I would rather he be with me all the time. That is if we could go without having the occassional urge to strangle each other. But, i think in more ways than one we have somewhat eliminated any obvious reasons for wanting to act on that kind of behavior. So, i think now it is time to let the good times roll, and get the heck out of dodge!
Until then, I need to go do some work on skirts for my booth, and hopefully soon to be a website by my beautiful, talented, and smart sister.
I hope this rambling nonsense finds you to be having a super blessed day!

Californian Born West Texas Cowboy

Well, let's see this will be my first blog. My sister always gets into these things, and then wants me to check it out until i am convinced i should get involved as well. So, here it goes...

Tucker John and Tanner Robert were both born in California. However, you would never know it if you heard Tucker John's accent. He has got the funniest West Texas accent, and I just love it!

When I met my husband, RW (that's right! West Texas through and through) he had the thickest West Texas accent. You see I am from East Texas, and yes, there is a difference... a pretty distinctive difference if you are from around here. Now our two littlest cowboys have picked up the local lingo, and it is just so sweetly affectious that I melt anytime i notice their little twangs.

Tanner Robert, our littlest buckaroo's favorite song is E-I-E-I-O. Granted he is only 16 months old, he sings his E-I-E-I-O for everything... even sometimes as he is crying!!! Too, too sweet.

Anyways, so i was just talking to my sister, as we were setting up this, my new blogging (not clogging, though it sort of feels like that) site, and we were discussing how funny things are that my little man, Tucker John (3)says.

I will soon be posting pictures so that I can share just how cute my main cowboy, and our two little buckaroos are, and really getting into the swing of things here, however blog back and we will see where this thing really goes.
